Answers to the questions we hear most about our handmade bottle cap Christmas ornaments.

What are Kaps for Kids ornaments made of?

Real, previously used bottle caps: beer, soda, root beer and hard cider caps collected from people all over the world. Each cap is pressed, hammered and bonded by hand into a hollow ball. We never reprint, recreate or add any brand's logo; the printing is the beverage maker's original artwork.

How big are they?

A single ornament is about 2.25 inches wide, 2.25 inches deep and 2.5 inches tall, and weighs about 1 ounce.

Are they fragile?

No. Because they are made of metal caps bonded together, they are more durable than glass ornaments. They are made for indoor display.

Do they come ready to hang?

Yes, every ornament comes ready to hang on a tree.

Will my ornament look exactly like the photo?

Close, but not identical. Because the caps are collected and every ornament is handmade, cap colors and designs can vary a little from the listing photo. That is part of what makes each one unique.

Can I choose the brands, or use my own caps?

Yes. Our Custom & Keepsake ornaments let you pick the beer brands you want, or send us your own caps from a wedding, a trip or a favorite brewery and we will turn them into a one-of-a-kind keepsake. Contact us to get started.

Who are they a good gift for?

Beer lovers, craft beer fans, home-state pride (see our state and regional mixes), fans of imported beer, soda and Coke collectors, and anyone who is hard to shop for. Many make great stocking stuffers under $30.

Are these official brewery or brand products?

No. Kaps for Kids is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or licensed by any brewery or beverage company. Brand names are used only to describe which caps are in an ornament.

How does Kaps for Kids help children?

10% of every sale goes to children's charities, and has since we opened.

Can I save my bottle caps for you?

Yes, please! Our caps come from people who save them. Contact us to find out how to send them.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes. Retailers can order our ornaments wholesale through Faire.

How long does shipping take?

Each product page shows the delivery estimate at checkout. Ordering for Christmas? Order early in December to be safe.
